used along with diet, exercise, and behavior therapy for the short-term
management of obesity.
How to take Didrex
Take Didrex on an empty stomach, once
daily, 30-60 minutes before breakfast. Do not increase your Didrex dose
or take it more often than prescribed because this drug can be habit forming.
Also, if Didrex is used for a longer period of time, do not suddenly stop
this medication without first consulting your doctor. Didrex is usually
taken for 8 to 12 weeks.
Side Effects of Didrex
Possible side effects include restlessness,
nervousness, difficulty sleeping, or dry mouth. If they continue or are
bothersome, consult your doctor.
Precautions for Didrex
You must not exceed the recommended
Didrex dose or take for longer than prescribed without checking with your
doctor. Exceeding the recommended Didrex dose or taking for longer than
prescribed may cause serious side effects. Do not drive or do anything
else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to Didrex. Before
any medical or dental treatments, emergency care, or surgery, tell the
doctor or dentist that you are using Didrex. Do not take Didrex if you
are pregnant. Didrex is excreted in breast milk. Do not breast feed while
taking Didrex.
